Readers of this Blog Willing to Share Their Personal Experiences in the OVDP/I Programs (5/2/13)

A reporter for a nationally prominent publication has contacted me to help him get in touch with people who have gone through one of the OVDI/P programs to discuss their experiences and thoughts about the programs.  If you are interested and/or willing to do that, please contact me at jack@tjtaxlaw.com and I will put you in touch with the reporter.

As with any reporter, there is no requirement that you speak at all or, if you do, share your personal information with the reporter.  Make sure that there is a clear understanding between you and the reporter as to the information you share and how the reporter can use that information.  He seems to be an excellent and reputable reporter and will honor his commitments to you.

  1. Thanks for posting that Jack. I know a lot of participants might be nervous about going public with the difficulties, but even if this reporter just reads the most recent National Tax Advocate report to Congress (MSP 8) about the OVDP, he will get a good insight to some of the problems of these programs for minnows... http://1.usa.gov/VRJVsc

  2. Jack, I have heard that is reporter is David Kestenbaum. Can you confirm this?

If so, that would be a good development as I have listened to him for years on NPR. I like his style. He is good, and I personally would have a lot of confidence that he would handle information appropriately.

I hope the quality of the reporter would give comfort to those deciding whether or not to participate.
