Mr Rivkin was not, and still is not without financial means. Through these resources he could have continued to fight; however to give the man the smallest amount of credit he accepted that to be a salesman for the questionable shelters meant he was guilty.<br />I don't generally think of this person as honorable, and can postulate dozens of other reasons for why energy was devoted elsewhere. And of course now in Sept 2009 with hindsight we see he only was sentenced to probation - no fine, jail time and very little ramifications.<br /><br />More than anything Mr Rivkin needed to get out of the headlines. He had left KPMG to form his own firm. His personal affairs were in disarray - and he knew when he was selling the shelters of their questionable nature. Perhaps he has a conscious afterall, but I still hold him in no higher regard than the prosecutors or other defendants of this case.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
